Offering similar density and hardness as an oak, siberian larch keeps its toughness for a longer time than other types of wood. Compared to pine for example, siberian larch has a way density of annual rings. Small, well ingrown knots are also typical. The color scheme is characterized from light brown to yellow-redish. The color scheme may warry in each delivery we get.
Originaly from North America, Douglas pine boasts high durability and product lifetime comparable to exotic wood mainly due to the fact that Douglas pine does not have any natural damaging factors which usually are moulds and mushrooms for the pine category. It is also considerably cheaper then other exotic timber. As for the look of the wood, Douglas pine is usually yellow-brown colored which changes to red-brown over the time.
